J., 2014, <strong>36<\/strong>, no. 4: 378-384.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Section: Structure and properties.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Language: Russian.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Abstract:<\/p>\n<p><em>The features of high temperature conversions of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) filled with SiO<\/em><em>2<\/em><em>\u00a0and SiO<\/em><em>2<\/em><em>\/ZrO<\/em><em>2<\/em><em>, as well as the influence of the morphology of SiO<\/em><em>2<\/em><em>\u00a0(fumed silica, silica gel) on these transformations were studied using thermogravimetry (TG), differential thermal analysis (DTA) and temperature programmed desorption mass spectrometry (TPD MS) methods. It is known that oxidation and depolymerization are two competing processes which occur during thermo oxidative degradation of the polymer in air. Their contribution depends on the polymer content and morphology of SiO<\/em><em>2<\/em><em>. It was found out that the presence of ZrO<\/em><em>2<\/em><em>\u00a0nanoparticles on a silica surface promotes the process of PDMS depolymerization. It was shown that methane and hexamethylcyclotrisiloxane (HMCTS) are the main volatile products of the surface thermostimulated chemical reactions in vacuum. Zirconium dioxide reduces the initial temperature of degradation of Si-C bonds in vacuum and leads to formation of methane in two temperature intervals with maximums at 280 \u2013 320 and 620 \u2013 710 \u00b0C.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key words: <\/strong>polydimethylsiloxane, silica, zirconia, thermal degradation,
