Abstract

Adding a suspension or structuring salt solution to a polyurethane oligomer leads to the formation of a polyurethane nanohybrid network containing an inorganic component filler. Network formation occurs when the filler concentration exceeds 10% and involves simultaneous polymerization in the presence of water. This network exhibits unique physical, mechanical, and relaxation properties, including high strength and fracture behavior at abnormally high relative elongation. The relaxation time of filled compositions depends primarily on the filler insertion method (dry powder or salt solution) and is largely independent of the salt’s chemical nature.

Keywords: polyurethane, filled systems.
