Abstract:
The samples of titanium dioxide (TiO2) modified by the b-cyclodextrin-containing polymers were synthesized. The obtained organic-inorganic polymeric materials and mechanical blends of initial polymers were investigated by pyrolysis mass spectrometry. The analysis of results indicates the formation of chemical bonds between the TiO2 surface and the polymer organic layer. It should be noted that the modified TiO2 samples are more heat-resistant compared to the corresponding mechanical blends. It has been established that the nature of coat layer affects the heat resistance of the polymers obtained.
Key words: modification, titanium dioxide, b-cyclodextrin, polymer, pyrolysis mass spectrometry.
